PHOTOS - Corozal, Belize after Hurricane Dean
These photos are just in from Loreta Randall, who took them yesterday (Aug 22) and managed to send them out this morning before shutting down her generator for the day. Most of the photos are from Corozal's South End, where the storm damage was most dramatic.
Loreta also advises that Belize's northern border with Mexico is now open, and that the lines to purchase gasoline at Pemex are very, very long.

The "Glass House", Corozal North

Unknown Location - I'll have to ask about this one!

That's all I have for now, I'll try to update again this evening. If you have information to share, or questions for me to send along, don't hesitate to email me: margaret (at) localgringos (dot) com.
